Van Nuys Flyaway Terminal
The Van Nuys Flyaway terminal consists of a 2,000-car parkway structure, a 500-car at-grade parking facility, passengers, and bus terminal facilities that help accommodate the transport of passengers to the Los Angeles International Airport (LAX).
DLCE supported the construction management of the project by assigning resident engineers for project development, budget review, the scope of work definition, coordination between engineering consultants, and inspections. We also provided engineering and constructability review, processed change orders, reviewed documents for bidding, executed project schedules using Primavera software, inspected construction operations, labor compliance overight, facilities coordination with third-party agencies (e.g. Caltrans, Southern California Association of Governments, Environmental Protection Agency), local agencies, city utility companies and executed the project close-out.
