Link Union Station & High-Speed Rail Project

The California high-speed rail system will eventually create over 800 miles of rail, with up to 24 stations. DLCE took an active role in the investigation and identification of existing utilities along 30 miles of future track alignment between the cities of Burbank and Anaheim. The utility investigation emphasized its focus at over twenty five grade separations in a number of Los Angeles and Orange County cities.

DLCE investigated all potential conflicts with a number of proposed alignments and systems along the High Speed Rail corridor. DLCE engineers worked with a number of utility companies for the preparation of utility reports. This included: Major gas companies, Power (Department of Water and Power, Southern California Edison and numerous cities), the City of Los Angeles Bureau of Engineering, Bureau of Sanitation, the Los Angeles Department of Transportation, County of Los Angeles Flood Control, and telecommunications providers.
